Every year theModel at the Fall 2011 Run to the Sun Fashion Show there is a Women's Show in Anchorge, Alaska - it's a cool event to attend, even as a guy. The Women's Show included various fashion shows - this photo shows clothing on sale at Run to the Sun - a local beachwear, swimsuit, outdoor clothing, and also a tanning salon. The models are very nice but the lighting at the arena is ugly and it gives me problems all the time. Please ignore the lighting and enjoy the models!

I took this photo in September 2011 at the Sullivan Arena in Anchorage, Alaska.

In April 2011 I was invited to shoot a fashion show which was part of a Spring Fling Woman's Show in Anchorage, Alaska. I guess they couldn't find any quality photographers!

The show was fun - it was sponsored by Run to the Sun, a local boutique that specializes in swimwear and tanning. Michelle, the owner, always finds some very lovely models, most of them with little experience but they did quite well and it was a great show.

I've uploaded the few pictures I've shot the last months. I haven't shot a lot of pictures. I was so busy that I almost forgot how my camera worked ;-) And thanks for the comments that kept on coming! I haven't been much on Flickr for months now. But I will return!!

This was the second fashion show I had to shoot. The circumstances were a lot better than the first one. More 'moving space' for the models (and me) and much better lightning. Click here to see the complete set.

My friend Anna organized this American Gothique fashion show at Mad Myrna's in Anchorage, Alaska in early May 2009. She described it as Techno Gothic and invited me to photograph it. I did so with some trepidation since I had no idea what I was getting myself into - but it was a blast. From what I can tell, Techno Gothic equates to Gothic with loud colors and attachments such as gas masks. I learn something new every day!
