Be it Twitter or real life interaction, when I tell people that I am a designer, the first thing they ask me is if I am a fashion designer. I don’t know why.

For one, I am not fashionable. I just wear tshirt and jeans. So I definitely do not “look” like a fashion designer. Additionally, my Twitter profile clearly states that I work in interactive. Is that not clear wtf I do? Further, I state that I am a geek (mostly because I don’t think that I am a 1337 enough to be called a nerd).

I do tweet about brands that I like, but mostly because I enjoy their brand experience. Nothing that I tweet or blog about is ever about fashion design specifically. So why?

I don’t get it.
